Before you start, I recommend that you put all your details into a word.doc to make it easier for you to fill in each business registration by copying and pasting the information so you don’t get anything wrong.
Be sure to put the same information on every listing so your brand is the same across every listing. You will need the following details for your business listing.
- Business logo or your own image. If you don’t have a business logo use your own professional image on every listing.
- Some directories require a cover image for your business and will give you the required size to upload to their website.
- Standard business information is required such as:
- First and last name
- Business name
- Mobile number
- Office number
- Street address or P O Box if you have one.
- Website address http://yourbusinesswebsiteaddress.com
- A short BIO is required – which should be a short description of the services or products you offer.
Most directories let you load up to 10 images to showcase your work or products.
Some directories also allow you to list all of your social media websites as well.
Once your listing has been placed into the directory, you will have to go to your incoming mail to confirm your listing. Some are confirmed immediately while with other directories there could be a short waiting time.
When you have completed all of your listings they will all link back to your website. Having links back to your website from directories that rank well in the search engines also helps build the ranking of your website.
